2024 Rally
Our 25th full Rally (2021 was just a summer gathering!) on the River Avon at Evesham was a very different Register Rally.
The central element wass that we wee part of the
Evesham River Festival
(and on Facebook).
The festival was open to the public on Saturday 13th July, with stalls and entertainment taking place in Workman Gardens and on the river.
The entertainment included daytime and evening music performances, and a Saturday evening firework display.
There were several food stalls and a festival bar.
Activities for the attending boaters commenced on Friday evening, with entertainment and the bar being open.
On Sunday morning there was a boaters' breakfast.
Our exclusive Register activities thus took place from the evening of Wednesday 10th July to Friday afternoon;
and again on Sunday afternoon and early evening. These include craft workshops and presentations on waterway and boating subjects.
On Thursday, we are arranged for two guided walks around Evesham. One covered the Abbey and parts of the town;
the other explored the local battlefield.
The Register AGM was held in the late afternoon of Thursday 11th July.
Our popular Technical Forum took place on the Sunday afternoon,
and the conclusion of the event was an ad-hoc music session lead by the talented Register musicians and singers. This finished earlier than planned, to allow attendees
to watch the
Euro 2024 men's football final. Most headed
for the Trumpet Inn to see Spain triumph over England by 2 goals to 1.
