The 2014 rally took place from Thursday 12th June to Sunday 15th June.
The location was
The National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port
(colloquially known as The Boat Museum). This was be the third RNR rally at the Museum, the previous being the
first ever RNR rally in 1998 and the 2010 rally.
The venue for most of the workshops, evening entertainment and the bar was the Tom Rolt Centre.
The 43 attending boats moored in the upper basin, the lower basin, between the wide Whitby locks and outside the entrance building.
There was a comprehensive programme of workshops and events for the weekend. These included:
- Fun with Foliage Workshops
- Decorative Ropework Workshops
- River Canal Rescue presentation
- Felt bird craft Workshops
- RN Cylinder Head workshop
- Presentation on fuel and oil filters
- Technical Forum - engine and boat items
- Annual General Meetings of the Register and the property company

The evening entertainments included Harvey Andrews and an interactive presentation on The Search for Pepper given by
The Spice Trades of Fenny Compton. The RNR Ukulele Ensemble also performed.
The rally bar featured real ales from
Frodsham Brewery,
Weetwood Ales, and
Spitting Feathers.
Wrenbury Cider provided the cider.
