Conditions of entry for attending the Russell Newbery Register 2025 Boat Rally
1. All information provided on submitted Rally entry emails or text messages must be correct at the
time of submission and subject to these conditions will be honoured at the Rally.
The entry covers the persons and boat named, Russell Newbery Register do not guarantee refunds
for entries not attending.
2. Russell Newbery Register reserves the right to refuse any application.
3. For boat entries, Third Party insurance to a minimum of £3,000,000 (three
million pounds) must be held at all times.
4. For boat entries, a current Canal and River Trust licence (long term or short term) must be held for the boat.
5. All attendees must comply with requests from the Rally organisers, for boats this
includes mooring instructions from the Harbourmaster.
6. Toilets must not be discharged into the waterway.
7. Parents/adults are responsible at all times for their children and pets
accompanying them to the Rally.
8. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any damages to persons or property
however caused and their ruling on all matters is final.
9. Information provides on the submitted Rally entry emails or text messages may in whole or part be
recorded on a computer registered under the Data Protection Act 1984. In
accordance with that Act any data so recorded in your name may be inspected on
application to the Rally Organisers.
10. For boat entries, moorings will be allocated where possible on a "first come"
basis. Boats may be moored abreast.
11. Mooring positions are at the absolute discretion of the Harbourmaster and may
be changed at any time. The Harbourmaster reserves the right to move any boat
from the moorings should the need arise.
12. Late entries (received later than two weeks before the Rally) will not
normally be allowed. Please note that a separate booking is required for each boat. An earlier deadline applies to request for Rally plaques.
13. The Rally organisers will endeavour to meet the needs of any crew who are less
able. Please detail any specific requirements or requests on the Rally entry emails or text messages.
14. A specific form of identity will be issued to Rally attendees and must be produced if requested by Rally organisers.
15. Boat engines and generators must not be run before 9am and after 6pm. Your cooperation, and consideration, towards fellow moorers will be appreciated.
16. Rally attendees volunteering to help run the Rally must adhere to the additional
Health and Safety instructions (including COVID-19 items) which the Rally
organisers provide. For volunteers serving drinks or food this includes the hygiene
rules.
17. All Rally attendees agree to abide by any COVID-19 (or other contagious
disease) mitigation measures put in place by the Register or by the owners and
management of any venues which the Rally utilizes, or by Tameside Metropolitian Council, or HM Government (for England).

The RN Register only uses information you supply on Rally entry emails or text messages in connection with the organisation of
the Rally. The Register does not update the membership data from this information.
The Register will not pass any of this information
to other parties.
By providing phone numbers and email addresses
you agree to the Rally organisers using those
methods to contact you.
